Need more books?

  • Borrow books from the local library - it’s easy to join the library and it’s free! You just need an Active Card (which is also your membership for Longwell Green Leisure Centre). Pop in to Cadbury Heath or Kingswood library and fill in the form - under 16s need a parent / guardian signature. Or join online at www.activecard.co.uk

  • Hunt the charity shops - there’s loads of great cheap books in the charity shops - sometimes for as little as 50p each!

  • Treat yourself to a new book - try a local bookseller (like WH Smith in Kingswood) or buy online at www.amazon.co.uk

Find reading ideas!

Are you stuck for ideas about what to read? Maybe you’ve read all your favourite author’s books and don’t know what to try next. Perhaps you want to know what the new releases are.

  • Why not ask friends and family if they have favourite books that they think you should try.

  • Take a look at The Ultimate Book Guide - on the Reference shelf in the OLC

  • Ask in your school or local library for some ideas.

  • See if the local bookshop can point you in the right direction.
