I really liked this book, I found the first chapter a little bit boring but as I got through the book I could’nt put it down. I liked the way he dropped little clues throughout the book that were’nt enough to give the whole story away but were just enough to make you want to carry on reading to find out the conclusion. I thought that Raven’s Gate was an amazing book. I liked the way he makes the book sound spooky and gives you little clues what is going on but he dosen’t give you enough information to give away the whole story. I have just picked up the second book of the series called “Evil star” and I think it will be amazing! (Miles)
It was a bit of a mystery that you had to solve before it was too late. The book got better after the first chapter. (Lydia)
Overall as a group we really liked the book although some of us found it a bit slow to get into. Very occasionally the description was a bit overdone with perhaps too much detail. We think it’s about a four out of five kind of book.
